Superdead skater Awadh Mohammed lands tricks with the grace of The Ballets Russes. He’s master of the art of making it look easy.

London-based boy wonder Awadh won the Hawk European Tour Skateboarding competition in 2007 and has since been tearing through the skies on his Superdead board. A new recruit to the UK Autobahn flow team, he’s constantly pushing his trade and building on his already made name. On a particularly sunny day, photographer and filmmaker Klaus Thymann chased the speed skater with a camera as he flew into the air and came down with a 9.9 landing. If Team GB had a skateboarding strand to speak of, our money would be on Awadh.

Superdead board, indy trucks, bones reds bearings, Autobahn wheels and lots of stickers. What’s in your pocket right now? 1000 shillings. What are your hopes for 2012? To finish my part in Superdead’s first skate vid. Where are you off to now? The beach. Peace.
