If Egle was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model, Tyra would describe her as “swept through a wind tunnel”. With tousled locks and a bleached brow above her narrowly slit eyes, Egle’s looks are out of this world. Catching the gaze of an Elite agent whilst waiting for plane at an airport in Amsterdam, her super sonic face has caused a stratospheric boom, landing the elfin beauty a cover with Vogue Turkey. Supers, watch out. i-D online caught up with the bombshell and talked about her hopes, dreams and grandma’s pancakes.

How did you get scouted? I was scouted in Amsterdam airport when I was with my school on an exchange programme.

Describe yourself in five words? Stubborn, inquisitive, confident, friendly, observational.

What was it like growing up in Lithuania? The best. I had an amazing childhood with my brother, sister and cousins, dancing, running and doing whatever I wanted to do.

Where’s your favourite place in the world and why? NYC, here you can find everything, and be whoever you want to be. The only thing I need here is my family and friends.

What are your hopes for the future? One of my biggest dreams is to be a Victoria’s Secret angel, and I very much hope I will be! Also one day I hope to do campaigns for a big makeup company, I have good skin!

What would be your dream date? I have no time to think about dates, but it should be something original and unpredictable.

What’s your beauty regime? Sleep, good emotions, good food.

What’s your guilty pleasure? Chocolate and my grandmother’s pancakes.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modelling? I have no idea, probably just a normal student, who has only one problem - homework. Maybe I would be dancer or a runner as well.

What’s in your wardrobe right now? Three jackets, jeans, sweater, skirt, shorts, high heels, boots, bikini, dresses.

What music are you into at the moment? Drum & bass, electro, house, R&B.

When do you feel the most beautiful? When I’m going out with my best girlfriends, cause then I feel so good and happy.

How has modelling changed your life? I grew up much faster, I know how to do everything by my self, I became more independent and self confident.
