With an uplifting and optimistic nod to London’s recent rioting, SIBLING pulled The Big Smoke out of bed yesterday morning, shook us hard and fast and gave #LCM a pretty spectacular wake-up call.

Five reasons i-D online would like to hit the town with SIBLING’s SS13 monster.

He rises early
The dapper dans packing out the audience had to buff and polish at double speed yesterday morning as the SIBLING monster hit the catwalk at 9AM!

He is a natty dresser
Taking inspiration from current sportswear trends (particularly those spotted on Bethnal Green Rd), we saw a succinct collection packed with mesh, hi-tops, caps, lo-slung crotches and the obligatory SS13 short shorts. The palette was dominated by a playing-field-unfriendly shade of BRIGHT WHITE.

He is bad hair day friendly
Those masks will successfully cover the most serious of morning barnet crises.

He is very well-read
NY painter Kehinde Wiley was the key reference. Inspired by his representations of contemporary culture, the SIBLING monster came in many guises, portraying a series of distinct tribal identities. Variations in headwear enhanced constrasts further.

He likes things short and sweet
The show lasted just over three minutes. As one third of the SIBLING family mentioned to i-D online at our Inspirational Men dinner last night “the perfect length, just like a punk record.” VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

A couple of days back i-D slipped behind-the-scenes at studio SIBLING, see what we found here.
