Mr Cavalli SS13 is suave, chic and sophisticated. Dressed entirely in pastel-plush fitted suits, accessorised with the occasional cravat or over the collar chain, he lives for a disco and isn’t afraid of keeping his metallic pointed brogues dancing ’til sunrise. Dressing a tribe of chic and coiffed models in a tidal wave of oceanic turquoises, blues, muted greys and deep azures, each look fluttered down Cavalli’s runway elegantly. Housing a cage of butterflies at the centre of his show-space, jacket patterns mirrored each insect’s symmetrical wing motifs, emblazoned over jackets and decorated upon a sporadic lapel. Continuing to evolve Cavalli’s signature aesthetic, Daniele Cavalli (now head) offered a much needed escape from the economic crisis affecting countries on all sides of the ocean. Creating a rich, plush and luxurious look, Cavalli brought blue skies and fresh opportunities to the table.
