Richard Nicoll’s debut menswear collection was one of the most anticipated shows on the schedule and unsurprisingly it didn’t disappoint. Since launching his eponymous womenswear label in 2005, Richard has fine-tuned his aesthetic to create a minimalist, contemporary way of dressing that translated beautifully to the male silhouette. There was crisp white sportswear, Klein-blue suiting and a dropped waist boiler suit we’ll no doubt spot Richard out and about in himself. But it was the leather T-shirts, shorts and cagoules that really stole the show. Shown in grey, teal and yellow (and accessorised with a magic cube around the neck); these simple, chic garments caught the eye of nearly every editor on the front row. Proving these were real clothes; real men (or women in my case) would like to wear.
