For SS13 Moschino’s doing supermarket chic. Striding down the aisles of a Milanese supermarket, supermodel Josh Beach was joined by a gang of dapperly dressed, eccentrically turned-out out pals. Dressed down in bomber jackets, polo shirts and shorts, the boys’ outfits were decorated with customised Persil and Budweiser branding, accessorised with braces, coloured socks, brogues and cravats. Moving from casual to more sophisticated looks, light Summer suits in lilacs and shades of grey were twinned with checked, short-sleeved shirts adding a more understated side to the label’s more typically flamboyant aesthetic. Dickie bows and trainers complimented the collection’s formal silk smoking jackets, offering a subtle nod towards the signature style of Gossip Girl bad boy, the sartorially discerning Chuck Bass. Ending on a high note, models donned shades to wear out an eye-popping array of vivid colours for the show’s grand finale. Splashing canary yellows, baby pinks, sky blues and apple greens together for a series of pick’n'mix flavoured looks. Pop art in motion.
