J.W.Anderson is fast becoming London’s newest and most exciting provocateur. This season saw the Northern Irish designer present an ultra-feminine and subversive collection on the final day of London’s Collections: Men. Challenging and complex, Anderson’s boys rocked heavy wet-look fringes with black headscarves and an oversize pepto bismal jacket cut on the bias flashing a manly thigh. Organza bibs, see-through lace romper suits and teddy bear motifs enforced the shows subversive title ‘Age of Consent’, whilst the sugary pastel flared two-pieces sealed the deal. Like it or loathe it, J.W.Anderson’s SS13 show succeeded in defying the established norms and was one of the most talked about of the weekend. London needs, and always will need, brave rule breakers.

Earlier this week we headed i-N Conversation with the man behind the J.W magic, Jonathan Anderson, see the interview in full here.
