The show notes described a “Chromatic Rush” and Frida Giannini delivered that with technicolor precision. Like a Pantone chart, her models paraded razor sharp double breasted suits in delectable over-dyed colours from leafy green, sunset crimson to gentle Aegean blues. Everything came accompanied with dazzling white, from the classic Gucci snaffle bit loafers, the tapered, cuffed, slightly cropped trousers and the stiff patent jackets. It all brought to mind an uber-chic Mediterranean summer involving yachts and dry martinis. Which was exactly what Giannini intended. La Dolce Vita.
