‘God is a DJ’, the classic 90s dance track from Faithless was the sound to accompany the Astrid Andersen show. A stellar cast of strong men walked the catwalk barefoot wearing toe rings, ankle chains and sport logos tattooed just above the ankle, like an invisible sports sock. A stained glass print vest with matching jacket (reference to the religious inspiration) with Andersen’s name emblazoned across opened the show and neon lace was used throughout to create T-shirts and even leggings. Then came the welcome return of the bumbag or fanny pack, whichever you prefer, added as the ultimate accessory. Astrid Andersen continues to gather pace and her confidence is growing. Watch this space, we believe she has something very clear to say about menswear.
