If you have a soft spot for looking sharp and a taste for the avant-garde, Dover Street is your first stop. With Acne and DSM as neighbours, the sartorial street was the prime location to open up a Wolf & Badger store, adding to the Lab boutique in Notting Hill where West Londoners have been getting their fill. The new 2000 sqft space is home to a pick of London’s NEWGEN designers, including Mark Fast, Lou Dalton, J.JS Lee and Bora Aksu. With a floor full of very charming staff, i-D online popped down during lunch to meet the W & B gang and play dress up.

What are you wearing from head to toe? Double ring by Alona (Wolf & Badger), vintage black onyx ring, denim shirt, Miu Miu skinny belt, leather leggings, sleeveless felt coat by Joseph, suede shoe boots – the best purchase ever, €60 from a place in Rome. How did you find yourself working in this store? One of my best friends knows George (Graham, co-founder) and put us in touch when he said he was opening the Dover Street Flagship. What do you get up to when you’re not working here? Mainly eating, honestly, je suis une gourmande! I try to pop into a few galleries and drink tea with friends. What’s on your summer soundtrack? New Spotify account is changing my life! Dealing DJ Vadim and Bonobo from a friend to try and update my usual mix old hip hop and hoochy RnB. I’m pretty useless with new music to be honest. Who would be your dream customer? Leandra Medine of manrepeller.com or Taylor Tomasi. We would have fun! What’s in your pocket? Lipbalm, (this weather is not good for lips when cycling in the rain!) and a set of keys to the jewellery cabinets. Not much treasure I’m afraid.

Carly Mann, 25 (Portrait, right)

What are you wearing from head to toe? Topshop boots, Zara jeans, Silence by Syllables top, Jasper Garvida, rings, necklaces and Heidi sunglasses. How did you find yourself working in this store? My ex boyfriend went to school with George. What do you get up to when you’re not working here? When’s that…? What’s on your summer soundtrack? I love listening to ‘Brazilian Girls’ in the summer, it makes me feel like I’m on holiday. Who would be your dream customer? My boyfriend as I could probably persuade him to purchase something for me. What’s in your pocket? My pay slip not sure from when…I should probably wash my jeans.

Joshua Castro, 31 (Portrait, bottom)

What are you wearing from head to toe? Gunex trousers, Conquergear T-shirt, Brave Soul jacket, McQueen shoes and strange fruit necklace. How did you find yourself working in this store? Found myself here through a very strange winding road. What do you get up to when you’re not working here? I’m really into making photo montages at the moment. What’s on your summer soundtrack? I have really gotten back into Beck, I forgot how much I loved him. Who would be your dream customer? My dream customer would be the Queen, it would be so cool to rock her up! What’s in your pocket? Phone but I just looked in my jacket pocket and found an old business card from a really good friend in NY, which was cool because it made me message her.
