Five lads and a lady making a name for themselves in the business of balling hard and showing folk a good time, Been Trill is the brainchild of some of Kanye’s creative think-tank crew (aka DONDA). In London of late as Mister West storms The O2 with his ‘Watch The Throne’ tour, Team Trill have been doing the bossman proud, helping run the town the way only he and HOV know how.
A pretty mysterious massive, the creatively named empressarios behind the Been Trill outfit have a pretty plain and simple approach: pitch-up, spin-hard and let the dance floor do the rest. And with the maestros behind the magic heavily involved in the work of floor-filling hip-hoppers like Kanye and A$AP Rocky, they know just what it takes to make the room jump. Packed to the rafters with Palace tees and regal steeze, Been Trill brought a heavy hit of NY raucousness to London’s Le Baron this weekend and i-D online was on the frontline to report, as our lens was allowed rare access into the club and our dictaphone even rarer time to snatch a couple of questions with the Been Trillers.
