With the venue’s three floors at full capacity, fans eagerly waited for the Teflon Don to make his second Proud2 appearance in less than a fortnight due to popular demand. The self-proclaimed ‘BAWSE’ arrived over an hour late (as bosses do) during which the crowd’s excitement turned to frustration. The odd boo rumbled as the the DJ played yet another song, but all was forgotten as soon as Rozay hit the stage with his trademark grunt and ‘M-M-Maybach Music’ soundbite before launching into a catalogue of street anthems. With the audience enraptured, fully in the moment and rapping along word for word, the larger-than-life Miami rapper showed no signs of having had two heart seizures last year, full of swagger and confidence. With trademark shades and beard he huffed out crowd-pleasing bangers such as ‘BMF’, ‘Rich Forever’ and ‘Holy Ghost’ with the reception maxing out to hits ‘Hustlin’ and ‘Stay Schemin’. Perhaps some were left wanting more material from his current mixtape Rich Forever, but from start to finish Ross delivered a commanding performance.
