Each year Italy’s cultural heart of Milan plays host to Salone del Mobile, the world’s largest fair of furniture and design. Truly democratic, visitors from all over the world join the Milanese massive for a feast of design treats from the industry’s greatest. Here, Brian Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer of creative agency, Black Frame gives us his POV on the fair, as we peer through his iPhone. Brian talks us through his selection here:
The best gelato in Milan from Bastianello; the supremely stylish Bethan Laura Wood; and Nike’s Milan Stadium space outfitted with examples of their Flyknit innovation.
Anna Dello Russo dancing on the table at her birthday part at Nepentha; a table full of covetable ceramics from Sowden at the Apartamento magazine dinner; and who knew a stovetop could be exciting? Electrolux created a phenomenal touch interface product that senses the area to conduct heat with shapes
Francesca Sarti of Arabeschi di Latte at Discipline; Bethan Laura Wood’s exquisite mosaic veneered tables at Nilufar; and designer Rafael de Cardenas sharing a moment on the stools at Discipline with his colleague Justin.
