Christophe (aka Christopher Rees) is the Bristol based DJ currently signed to FutureBoogie Recordings, home to the likes of Julio Bashmore and Lukas. With his previous tracks ‘Make A Mark’ and ‘The Force’ gaining him a cult following on SoundCloud and Resident Advisor, he’s made his house-mad city proud!
If there’s one thing that’s true of Christophe, it’s that his mixes are technically brilliant. He is, without a doubt, intelligent, perceptive and creative and his mixes pay extreme attention to detail, with the rhythms and tempos woven together to create a perfect amalgamation. His use of synthesisers is inspired and gives a varied edge, chopping and changing between the different pitches, melodies and tempos. Even more unorthodox is his chopping and changing between keys, both major and minor, which create a decidedly dissonant and cacophonous sound. Christophe is pushing boundaries and creating the music that he wants to make. Lock in to his hour-long mix, for your ears only.
