With a wink to the icy coolness of a young Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe, team Topman Design chose to explore their dark and mysterious side. The models were moulded in to the appropriate silhouettes with bold long coats, bolstered by mohair and thick wool. Leather trousers and lily print shirts were prominent later in a muted fashion, distorted and in keeping with the theme of this chapter in the Topman story. The models approached the catwalk with a purposefulness and pace giving a distinct feel that they were en route somewhere important. Accessories supplied by the super talent that is Husam El Odeh added to what was a complete, coherent and strong collection.
