Last summer Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos travelled to Asia to lap up the exotic sights and sounds. Their journey provided the blueprint for their autumn/ winter 12 collection, a cacophony of print and colour that celebrated the ever changing face of the East. Green and blue digital prints swirled across fishtail dresses and thigh hugging skirts, mimicking the bright lights of a growing metropolis. While flashes of florals celebrated abundant nature and the ripe, tropical air. The most exciting development was the outerwear, a series of digitally printed puffa jackets cropped at the waist and splayed like exotic sea anemones across the neckline. Team one of these with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and you go from ordinary to extraordinary in one fell swoop. Elsewhere Japanese ‘Light Trucks’ – monster trucks pimped out with kaleidoscope lights – provided the inspiration for a series of glittery jersey dresses accentuated with rainbow bright furs. Team this with a pair of matching Nicholas Kirkwood heels and you have future dressing, a wardrobe for now.
