Angela Missoni went back to nature this season to weave an urban collection filled with rich earthly colours and innovative knitted prints referencing moss, leaves and tree bark. Beading on snaking skintight sheath dresses resembled autumnal pine needles, wood grain embroiderey shone on knits and grey rock colour tunics were richly overcome by beautiful patterns of spreading mold. A long and lean, belted silhouette countered the patterns and textures, layered shrugs hugged the models tightly and long latex gloves served as protection for these girls immersed nature. Today’s exciting reworking of the house’s famous codes felt modern, relevant and as fresh as a dewy dawn.
