The inspiration for James Long’s AW12 collection was Planet Earth’s scars. Clearly realised in his clothes: rugged and masculine knits were perfectly distressed, metallic and sparkling embroidery created an almost volcanic feel and sheepskins coupled with velvet stapled trousers made for the perfect storm. James managed to convey a poignant environmental message in an exquisite manner.
