A white rose wrist corsage doubled as the invitation to the DSquared2 ‘Prom’ on the final day of Milan Fashion Week. A high-school gym transformed by balloons and ribbons and a ‘Class of 2013′ sign was the setting for Dean and Dan Caten’s procession of homecoming queens. The vibe was early 60s from the top of the models’ bouffant hairdos to the tips of their leopard-spot crystal encrusted pumps, with a nostalgic soundtrack to match. In between, they wore fluffy mohair roll necks over button-downs and lamé skirts; toggle coats and turned-up jeans; and a green croc jacket with cropped pink pants. As the disco balls lowered from the ceiling, the last dance heralded Lindsey Wixson and partner looking the chic prom queen and king – she in her black beaded strapless number and beehive hair and he in his white tux.
