“Vintage B Movies” said Sophia Kokosalaki postshow via Skype from London, of her Fall inspiration for Diesel Black Gold. This was interpreted on the runway as a cool, aggressively streetwise look that blurred gender boundaries and refused to conform. A fast-paced procession of black leather, shiny pony skin and slouchy shorts layered over men’s boxer shorts ensued. Boyfriend shirts came artfully tucked onto low slung belts attached at the back, kilts were updated in luxury calfskin whilst the shearling coats, leopard trenches and the fresh re-working of biker jackets rocked hard.
