An essential ingredient in making the MAN show soup taste oh so sweet, London based designing duo Agi & Sam injected a spoonful of something special into the menswear proceedings on Wednesday. Fast establishing themselves as pioneers of all things pretty and printed, colours popped and pieces rocked as a bunch of bearded boys strutted down The Royal Opera House runway. Burnt orange dominated the palette on trouser suits and overcoats. With Sam’s background in illustration, the prints take prime position, for AW12 we saw an aviary-load of birds scattered across tailoring and oversized check coming in the obligatory burnt orange. Hands were gloved in white wool and shoes and socks were clinical and colourless. For two chaps so fresh to the fashion stage, their output is considered, refined and at the forefront of London’s menswear movement.
