The Roberto Cavalli show most definitely created an air of anticipation. AW12 included an alternative cast to his collection and it did not fail to create a strong and exciting response. Crocodile Dundee meets Indiana Jones meets Hell Raiser was the feel as a cast more associated with a more avant-garde brand walked down the catwalk. Although the staple Cavalli looks remained-the pointed toe boot, slim fit trouser and the awakening bright colours-this was more to do with the new found, dark and mysterious attitude, highlighted by a finale in which all of the models appeared wearing dark black ponchos. A large, silhouetted blues performer provided the soundtrack to the show. Cowboys will never be the same again.
