Inspired by New York street artist Bäst and food markets in Istanbul – the latter was difficult to identify – Marc Jacobs nailed his casual sport luxe aesthetic in a skate-culture/ street-culture collection.

In his third season of collaboration with Jacobs, Bäst was responsible for the colourful graphic prints cropping up every tenth or so piece on the rail, adding a renegade “this is art not fashion” feel to the collection as a whole, which was continued in the hand-painted sleeves of jumpers and jackets, intended to fade as the garments age, as a piece of art. With baseball caps in luxurious fabrics, silk shits, cleverly fused material shirts and flying jackets with beaver collars, Jacobs had every angle covered for life on and off the skate ramps.
