Showcasing artists, bands and DJs they rate, the calibre of talent Jett Letts, Daniel David Freeman, Nick Jensen, Russell Cliffe and team leader Alex Hislop tout sets the bar bare high. Welcoming The XX (and Jamie XX), Zoo Kid (aka King Krule), Trim, Sinden, Toddla T, Oneman, Heartless Crew, Top Cat, Roll Deep, Deadboy, Mosca and P Money onto the stage and behind booths before many others had even heard their material, GETME! operates on instincts. This crew have their heads-up high before we’re even off the pilow, so take the weight off, stop scrolling and get yourself to one of their highly tuned events.
Doing their own thing all over London since 2007 a small entry fee is exchanged for a full night of sweaty, ear-thumping fun that lasts from the moment you pass over the GETME! threshold until you stumble out the exit. i-D online ended last week in style down at Corsica studios to a soundtrack laid down courtesy of Andy Blake, Ossie, Stay+, Dam Mantle and Becoming Real.
