What we doin’ when the Fatboy’s slippin’?

25 thousand capacity, a corner post and home to The Seagulls, Fatboy Slim swaps football fans for ravers at Brighton’s Amex Stadium in Big Beach Bootique 5.

By day, Brighton beach is calm and peaceful. By night, the waves come crashing and tranquility turns into a party, best seen from world famous DJ and producer Fatboy Slim’s beach balcony. Known to friends as Norman Cook, he’s played at every venue you can think of, at every time, to every true party-goer. For years the diehard Brighton and Hove Albion fan has thrown parties in his hometown for the locals, the last four of which were held on the beach. But the sand can no longer withstand the sheer volume of party people! Relocating and expanding, the party’s heading to Fatboy Slim’s second home, the Amex Stadium. With two gigs set for 1st and 2nd June 2012, support from Carl Cox and Nero plus more special guests to be announced, these are hot tickets.

i-D online managed to catch up with the man himself at his Brighton home to see what he’s been up to…
