Step by Step guide to Jingle Bells! Track- ʻJingle Bellsʼ – The Puppini Sisters 1. Hands on hips. Feet together. Start by stepping out on the right foot and on the next count turn the left foot in to tap the heel. Now straighten the left foot by tapping the left heel and on the next count turn the right foot in to tap the right heel. Repeat this right and left again. [Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells] 2. Step forward on the right foot. While doing this swing the arms right, left, right, left while moving your torso down and then up a little on the last swing. [Jingle All The Way] 3. Step with the right foot while turning the right hand once at the wrist, finishing with a stop sign with this hand. Step on the left foot while repeating the same action with the left hand. Turn both hands to 1 finger signs and cross the arms, while moving the hips right to left in a backwards semi-circle. [Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh] 4. Turning to face the right, prance forwards. Put weight onto the left foot totally lifting the right leg up. Quickly exchange the weight onto the right toe and the back onto the left foot, again lifting the right foot completely off the ground. Repeat this four times in total. While doing this slowly lift up the left arm. [Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells] 5. Face front again and step with the right foot while placing the left hand flat, palm inwards against the face. Then step with the left foot while placing the right hand, palm inwards against the face. Switch sides of both hands under the chin so they rest on each shoulder, palms against the shoulders. Drop both hands to sides. [Jingle all the way] 6. Repeat step 3 [Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh] 7. Pivot round to face the back. Do this by keeping the left foot on the floor and stepping out four times with the right toe. While doing this swing the arms deliberately right and left for each step, with a matching hip motion right and neutral. [Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh] 8. Facing the back, step with the right foot and lift right hand horizontally, palm down to the ceiling and on the next count drop back down, keeping palm facing towards the floor, by your side. Repeat with the left arm, stepping to the left on the first count. [Oʼer the fields we go] 9. Turn your torso slowly towards the front and with one hand in front of face, playfully mime laughing in your own style! [Laughing all the way] 10. From the back towards your right (which from the initial front facing is actually towards the left!). Four step-ball-changes, starting with the right foot. While doing this arms float in opposite directions, left arm in front, right arm behind first. Then switch. [Bells on bob tails ring, making spirits bright] 11. Repeat step 7 but this time with only two pivots, to the left, to take you three quarters of a circle back round to face the front. [Oh what fun it is to ride and sing] 12. Shimmy from bent forward position with arms by side, lifting arms up above head and straightening body. To dramatically drop arms back down and let head go down and up! [A sleighing song tonight].
