We dream the same dream

In celebration of all things AW11, Swedish style stalwarts J.Lindeberg release the fifth edition of ‘The Documentary And A Dream’, the biannual, visual narrative of the Lindeberg way of life.

Featuring contributions from industry heavyweights including Olivier Zahm, Andreas Carlsbecker and Julia and Hannes Hetta, ‘The Documentary and A Dream’ is produced in super limited edition, with each large-format publication hand-finished in a factory in Northern Sweden. Overseen and curated by regular J.Lindeberg collaborator Jörgen Ringstrand, a cracking cohort of photographers, artists, writers, illustrators and stylists have all been invited to offer their interpretation of the Lindberg philosophy. From Skye Parrott’s pure and honest portraiture, to Jörgen Ringstrand’s white-washed, snow shots, the book offers a unique insight into the rejuvination of the blossoming Scandinavian brand. Here i-D’s Fashion Editor, Elgar Johnson chooses some of his tip top snaps from the tome.

In London yesterday, the folk at J.Lindeberg threw open the doors to their fabulous four-storied Victorian house in Shoreditch. Oozing Scandinavian style, guests took to the rooftop to feast on pickled herring, thumb the ultra-glossy pages of the book and take in the scent of the floral spread (courtesy of i-D’s own Jocelyn Lloyd and JamJar flowers), with not an Ikea uplighter in sight! As the fashionistas chattered, rumours were abound of the arrival of a J.Lindeberg store on UK soil and their womenswear collection spreading beyond their Scandinavian stores. Lots to look forward to from the Lindeberg massive!

Slip off to Scandinavia to be in with a chance of scooping a super-limited edition copy of the tome from one of their flagship stores.
