Lydia Rose Bright is the blonde, classy lady of Essex, who idolises Carrie Bradshaw and never leaves the house looking anything other than perfectly preened and majorly REEM!
Dashing onto our TV screens in the first season of TOWIE last year, a fresh-faced, baby blue eyed Lydia quickly carved herself a neat niche in the hearts of the nation and the minds of the fashion set. Partial to a flash of red lippy, a spot of sunbathing, a pair of killer heels and some fabulously flirtatious false eyelashes, Lydia is all about the kind of old-school glamour the silver screen sirens of the sixties perfected. Cementing her place amongst celebrity high-street fashion heavyweights, posing for glossy editorials and opening her own boutique emporium, Bella Sorella, Lydia has proved she is way more than just a pretty face with pearly whites. i-D online climbed inside the mind and wardrobe of this powerful princess to watch her pop, pout and pose like a pro.
What’s been your top look from the new season of TOWIE? It would have to be the white dress I wore to dinner with James, complete with a feathered white bolero. It was very Carrie Bradshaw inspired.
What themes, trends and tones have you been channeling recently? I’m still following my passion for wearing vintage clothing, as a lot of my items I’ve sourced from eBay and vintage boutiques. I’ve been wearing more structured, tailored outfits like trousers and blouses with my nude Louboutin heels.
Who is your style icon this season and why? I’d have to say Blake Lively and Olivia Palermo, they always push the boundaries between their day time and red-carpet looks. I also believe that they have their own input on their style, not just being dressed by stylists, which I really admire.
How have you been helping Arg improve his dress sense? I’ve been telling him that he looks best in suits and tuxedos and keeping with his ‘Dean Martin’ style. I’ve encouraged him to try different blazers paired with a smart skinny tie and also got him to keep a jacket that he wore on a shoot we did together last month, it’s light grey with black velvet lapels.
If we were to come for a fashionable day out with you in Essex what would we get up to and what should we wear? We would go to Loughton High Street and visit all the boutique and designer shops including my new store. We would wear high platform shoes and high-waisted trousers and a sheer blouse, not forgetting our strip lashes!
Lydia’s top tips for looking REEM!
1. A glamorous up-do is a fabulous way to finish-off a floor length gown.

3. Killer heels are a must with every outfit.
4. Colour match your accessories with a busy outfit.
5. Don’t be scared to choose a show-stopping dress.
