Tattoos etch cherished moments deep into the skin, indelibly marking the path of life…

 

Mapping the story of a moment passed in words, pictures, symbols and more, the tattoo is a metaphor for difference and the sign of an interesting past. What is often a mark of division, segregating two kinds of people – those with tattoos, and those who are afraid – is now a decorative trend. They creep up limbs, scatter tenderly within a crease or soft fold of skin, often the most sacred thing to a lover of body art is bare skin.

i-D online hung out with two likely lads down at the local caff to get a peek at the green, yellow and pink patterns they’ve chosen to wear on their sleeves and knees for as long as they both shall live.
