Newcomer to Paris fashion week (today was just his second runway show) Julien David presented twenty-four wearable looks that blended the bohemian feel du jour that has evolved on the streets of Paris – boyish yet feminine, baggy, a touch preppy, with a sporty feel by way of camouflage shorts and anoraks. Prints were a theme, clashed on tops and skirts or emblazoned across simple dresses that were slashed across the shoulders, falling to above the knee. Two pretty dresses with full skirts and frayed edging closed the show, which overall was a very strong, accessible yet edgy proposition for SS12.
