Caryn Franklin discusses All Things All Walks.
Former editor and close friend to all at i-D, Caryn Franklin paid a visit to the i-D NOW pop-up gallery to spread the word of her worthy work with the All Walks Beyond The Catwalk project. All Walks is a fashion initiative founded by Caryn Franklin, Debra Bourne and Erin O’Connor working with influential catwalk designers and top industry creatives to celebrate and encourage diversity.
Note pads were at the ready as Caryn began her discussion, mapping the journey of All Walks from an idea amongst friends to one of the most progressive, positive and relevant mediums in fashion today. Toasting to individualism, the message of the night was clear: being you is great. Endorsed by The British Fashion Council, All Walks aims not only to call for diversity in the current industry, but also equip the next generation with a healthy perspective moving forward. Establishing the All Walks Centre for Diversity in Edinburgh College, fashion students now study diversity as a compulsory module, learning to make sample sizes a little more forgiving.
Projects like All Walks inspire.
