Follow the yellow-brick road until you get to the end of it…

The music, the forest of fairy lights, the woodland library, the ping pong, the art, the peacocks, the local cider, the comedy, the DJ boat, the flashing disco floor, the parrots, the sitting room stage, the lovely people… these are just some of the reasons why i-D loves the End of the Road Festival!

 

During the weekend of the 3rd September, Larmer Tree Gardens in North Dorset threw open their gates for the sixth time and so began the largest and most anticipated festival in the gardens to date. The three main stages showcased an incredible and eclectic array of artists including The Fall, Beirut, Mogwai, Wild Beasts, Johanna Newsome and The Walkmen and even though the crowds had doubled from previous years (10,000), the festival still succeeded to maintain the intimate, uber-friendly and relaxed atmosphere that really sets The End of the Road festival apart from all the others. Although it was a sell-out year, i-D online was lucky enough to squeeze in and here are some of the people we met…
