Delfine Delettrez’s love tokens…
Delfina Delettrez is the twenty-two year old fourth-generation of the Fendi family. Born in Rome and raised between the beautiful empire and Rio de Janeiro, with placements at Chanel and her innate sense of style, her creative fate seemed inevitable. Putting all of her creative efforts into jewellery design, she has produced an already extremely well-received collection of jewels (particularly amongst i-D’s Fashion Team!). First presented to the press four years ago at colette in Paris, her playful, romantic and often gothic designs combine all manner of materials including bone, gold and precious stones.
Her latest line, ‘Love is in the Hair’, is displayed, as the title suggests, on a series of colourful wig-adorned creations. Locks of hair and lucky charms have been preserved in the centre of beautiful necklaces, rings, brooches and bracelets. Delfina explains that “crystallised in a heart of resin, tokens of love mark the eternity of memories”.
