With all the tropical prints and “in your face” neon colours that have dominated the NY runways, Francisco Costa delivered a pleasingly calm and sensuous collection full of delicate lingerie details and neutral colours. Like a breath of fresh air, simple slip dresses came in fluid metallics and sheer nudes that morphed to the body. Lingerie inspirations were seen throughout from the corset waists, the balcony necklines, camisole tops and gossamer so sheer you could see each model’s bra underneath. With Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, Chloë Moretz and Lara Stone all sitting front row, this was a ultra sexy collection, destined for the wardrobes of empowered women.
