Hungry for the power, Azari & III are the unambiguous, four man strong electronic outfit from Toronto, bringing their own version of 90s NY house flavoured steeze to a turntable near you.
Moody, progressive, understated and ambitious, the stop-beat sound this quartet throw down comes courtesy of producers and musicians Dinamo Azari, Alixander III and vocalists Fritz Helder and Starving Yet Full. Releasing their debut album earlier this month on Loose Lips Records, standout tracks ‘Hungry for the Power’, ‘Manic’, ‘Into the Night’ and ’Reckless With Your Love’ have all received the royal remixing treatment from the epics Jamie Jones, Nicolas Jaar and Art Department. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it? Apparently so – Johnny Depp, Tinie Tempah and The XX all attended their latest gig. Boom.
Fresh from travelling across Europe, playing out the festival season in style, Azari & III have set stages alight, from Glastonbury to Ibiza and have figured designs on world domination coming any day soon. Not bad for four lads who have only been around for little over eight months. i-D online went behind the scenes on their latest music video to find out how manic life is for Azari and his three.
