Danny Reed is just a teenage dirtbag baby. First scouted at fourteen he is the rough around the edges model with Goofy’s teeth and a beautiful face.
Forced out of his pretty, little, shy shell at an early age, Danny boy is the West London based model with an unlikely look and infectiously cheeky ‘tude. Already a firm favourite of iconic photographer Hedi Slimane, this dynamic part-time model and full-time student has previously graced the pages of Vogue Hommes Japan, Bon International and Tourist magazine, not to mention recently being featured on i-D Online. Studying Magazine Publishing at London College of Communication, Danny is currently living in his mate’s spare room and likes to spend his spare time in the company of his pretty pals (and recent i-Profile subjects) Alice Goddard and Billie Turnbull. A massive fan of vintage sweatshirts, the sofa, his own mess and body poppin’ Danny is funny and fascinating and a fully certified fitty.
Tell us about when you were first scouted? I guess when I was around 14 and started coming to London more. I don’t remember a specific time but people have always told me to go see agencies. I still haven’t got round to going though.
Do you think you’re beautiful? Yeah sure why not!
If you could be an animal what would you be and why? A cat, they get free food and accommodation. Sorted!
What’s your favourite food? Buffalo wings without a doubt.
How did you and Billie Turnbull first meet? She’s a total babe. I knew Billie’s sister, so I’d see her about the house and stuff. Then we started getting used for the same shoots and hanging out out of choice.
What do you get up to when you hang out with your mates? Watch movies, eat pizza. Billie’s teaching me how to skate properly over the summer.
What goes on in your bedroom and what does it look like? Sleep goes on in my bedroom, I’m sleeping in my friend’s spare room at the moment. It’s a mess, you can’t see the floor! Oh and I’ve got a postcard of Christina Ricci on my wall.
Who’s your hero? Larry Clark or my Mum (both very different people).
Are you a happy person? Mostly! I look like a goof when I smile.
What is your favourite film? Scream 1, Scream 2, Scream 3. On Friday I’ll be able to say Scream 4. And I just have to hope at some point they make a Scream 5!
What music have you been listening to? I’ve been playing Sun City Girls, ‘Me and Mrs Jones’ on repeat.
Were you well behaved at school? Nope! I was pretty good at getting away with things though. I’ve got an innocent face.
