A classic Dior backdrop was constructed to present the SS12 mens’ collection in far Eastern Paris today. Similarly Kris Van Assche didn’t stray far from his vision of loose, minimal suiting and luxe casual wear yet he added nice touches in the form of tan-coloured, strip-thin leather panels on shirts and collars. This continued with leather T-shirts, shirts and bags. Collars were flat, buttoned-up and many showed influences from the Far East. Dior Homme, during the time of Kris Van Assche, is all about flow, uncluttered silhouettes and letting the sumptuous materials speak for themselves. Nothing brash, nothing brassy and no sudden movements, trés Dior Homme.
