“Working with Marc is a dream job”, was just one of the quotes given by Kim Jones in relation to his appointment as Mens’ Ready-to-wear Studio and Style Director for Louis Vuitton. This was a collection based on the idea of a personal journey, bringing a luxurious yet practical style of clothing for the modern day traveller. Sports jackets and suits in a super light-weight wool, windbreakers edged with performance tape – this was a collection full of new technology yet in keeping with the traditional Louis Vuitton way. Should ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ be remade surely this would be the wardrobe! A great success for Kim Jones’ first collection and we look forward to many more.
