i-N Session: Husky Rescue

Finnish sextet Husky Rescue explore spine-tingling soundscapes that combine ethereal choruses with country beats composed to drift, float and deeply affect.

Longing, yearning, losing, falling and dreaming are the themes and sentiments explored by Husky Rescue  with their experimental electronic trip hop. Presenting the hope of new beginnings and possibilities after sadness or loss, like the first signs of spring after a long winter or the discovery of new love after a dysfunctional affair, the melancholically perfect music of this Helskini hailing band is nothing short of beautiful. Inviting their audience into a make-believe universe where life is only innocent, the purist lyrics of Husky’s music are always tenderly whispered, accompanied by a string or synth that lifts hairs on the back of your neck.

Releasing their third and most accomplished album to date to rave reviews, Husky Rescue return with a deluxe edition of their album Ship of Light. i-D Online hung out with band members Marko Nyberg, Reeta Vestman, Miika Colliander, Ville Riippa, Anssi Sopanen and Maria Lmoniemi down at their studio for an exclusive play of their new single ‘Fast Lane’.
