i-N Session: U.S. Royalty

Straight out of downtown D.C., strumming loose tunes perfectly suited for lazing on a sunny afternoon, U.S. Royalty are the unsigned quartet playing country alt. folk-pop.

Making no secret of their bizarre, nostalgic sensibilities, living their authentic thrift store inspired sound, U.S. Royalty are four mates doing things their own way. Unconcerned with commercial success the band have made a name for themselves playing intimate gatherings and to friends and family, self-released their debut album Mirrors earlier this year. Headed up by brothers John and Paul Thornley on lead vocals and guitar and backed by Jacob Michael on bass and Luke Adams on drums, the simplistic hooks and lazy Southern attitude U.S.R have become celebrated for feels understated making easy listening, instrumental beach music with blissful intent. Jack and Paul took i-D Online to the outback for a sunshine serenade.
