Doing things the unconventional way, Ponystep founder Richard Mortimer has hopped the fence from the digital world and landed on the print side with his feet on firm and fertile soil.
In his time establishing Ponystep as a fashion frontrunner on the web waves, Mortimer has attracted a loyal and influential following. Ponystep’s first stride into the world of biannual fashion mags is a hottly anticipated one and the stellar list of contributors to the first issue is testament to the well preened pony’s pulling power, i-D contributors Sølve Sundsbø, Daniel Jackson and Alice Hawkins leading the photographic charge. Ponystep’s mastery of tongue-in-cheek fun and glosstastic snaps translates onto the printed page with great aplomb, stars Kylie Minogue, Jerry Hall, Katherine Hamnett and, of course, Janice Dickinson, all shining brightly from the papery-stuff. Ponystep’s got legs so pull on your jodpuhrs and trot along with the trailblazers.
