Paris, 05/03/11. Junya Watanabe.

Junya Watanabe presented a masterclass in interpreting the iconic black leather motorcycle jacket. They came thick and fast in all manner of exquisite incarnations, ones that morphed into thick solid capes, with exaggerated waists and expertly sloped shoulders. Even tuxedo jackets were beefed up with biker zips and leather lapels. With their loosely coiffed mohawks and pointy winklepickers the look was razor sharp and exacting. These sleek clean lines were countered by faux fur coats, textured like teddy bears that had been loved too much.
