For fall Rei Kawakubo chose to show at the Hotel de la Monnaie for the intimate Comme des Garçons show. Guests were seated in a circular formation as the first looks came out to the sound of shutterbugs and nothing else. Inspired by half man, half woman androgynous creatures, models slowly stopped here and there, close enough to touch and allowing everyone to take in the intricate details of deconstructedand asymmetrical trenches all bunched and knotted; ruffled shorts, delicate tulle tops, patch worked silk scarves reworked into dresses, sleeves and shorts. Things got really exciting when all the components merged with added polka dotted half jackets and topped with gold glittery meringue hair.
