Last season Balenciaga gave us a riot of punk attitude, this time around, however, things felt a lot more grown-up and ladylike. Ghesquière deilvered a collection that was full of fluidity and elegance, yet still managed to be jam-packed with refreshing and cutting-edge ideas from start to finish. From the bold colour-blocking, the new asymmetry, the oversized netting details, to his never-ending mission to bewilder us all with truly innovative and avant-garde textiles. Another ‘hit’ from one of fashions true pioneers.
