Hudson by Georgia May Jagger

Inheriting her mother’s flawless beauty and father’s trademark pout, model of the moment Georgia May Jagger is one gifted young lady. Now in a new collaboration with Hudson, Georgia shows that it’s all about having good jeans, pun intended.

With flowing blonde locks, glistening blue eyes and a trademark gap-toothed smile, Georgia May Jagger is rock royalty, successful model and the envy of females everywhere. Since 2009, the 19-year-old, daughter of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger, has seduced the fashion world, fronting campaigns for the likes of Versace, Chanel and Rimmel, and gracing the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and, of course, i-D. Now after almost two years as the face of Hudson Jeans, Georgia has decided to go behind the scenes, collaborating with the label on a new capsule collection for spring/summer 11. “It’s been really fun to have some input into what I’m wearing,” said Georgia at the range’s official Selfridges launch. “I actually got be part of the process as opposed to just being the model.”

The five piece collection carries a rock ‘n’ roll theme, naturally, and the jeans are high-waisted with a skinny fit, designed to flatter the figure and lengthen the legs. Eye-catching zips and a lace-up detail complete the designs, adding a distinctive and rebellious edge. Inspired by jeans worn by her mother in the 70s and lace up leather pants pioneered by Guns N’ Roses, Georgia has been heavily involved in the process, creating mood boards and presenting sketches and fabric ideas to Hudson’s Creative Director, Ben Taverniti. “Georgia has a real intuition for denim. The collaboration was a seamless combination of both our worlds”, Taverniti explains. So is this new venture into the design world a permanent fixture for Georgia? “I hope so, yes” giggles the model. With youth, beauty and an illustrious career well under way, the future looks bright for the newest Jagger on the block.
