The latest outing from New York’s boy wonder gave the expectant crowd (including Kanye West) exactly what they wanted. The stellar cast strutted out onto the concrete square wearing tough leather capes, techno donkey jackets with large ribbed hoods and gangsta sunglasses with fur trim. Alexander revisted the cape silhouette, from padded utility jackets and sheer shirts, through to the silk dresses at the end. Eveningwear was ultra-slashed with hardcore zip details to toughen things up and tuxedo jackets looked good enough to sleep in, quilted with luxurious fur sleeves. A show worth shouting about; Alexander Wang retains his crown as the king of downtown cool.
