Nasir Mazhar gives our generation a voice through millinery. He’s an artist, a fantasist and simultaneously a talent firmly in touch with the street. A/W 11 sees his first ever menswear collection and unisex bag collection, following five seasons of inspirational womenswear and pieces for the likes of Viktor & Rolf, Louise Gray and Mugler. At the Topshop show space Mazhar’s tableau vivant introduced us to cyborg robo-teddy headgear, a glittering papal hat and stud brimmed bucket, as choice Lil’ Kim cuts hollered out of the speakers.
