You can always count on Charlie Le Mindu to bring the shock value each season and this collection was no different. A stark naked girl drenched in fake blood a la ‘Carrie’ opened the show donning the word ‘violence’ atop her head –a good indicator of what else was to come. Wartime Berlin was the inspiration, and Charlie’s interpretation of this consisted of PVC, pearls and lace in a monochromatic ivory white palette, save for the spray-painted expletives, which appeared throughout. The final look –a ghost bride with an oversize lace dove veil and a long lace train sopping with yet more fake blood is something which Lady Gaga will surely be making an appearance in soon.
