This season was Jonathan Saunders’ first venture into menswear, which showed alongside the womenswear collection and was by no means a poor relation. Boys emerged in sumptuous knitwear imbued with blocked colour, tropical and geometric prints, that also found their way onto
the beautiful dresses, skirts and shirts in the womenswear collection. Ornate patterns were given the Saunders treatment and reworked into more graphic versions. Referencing the late 30s and early 40s, the silhouette was slim, nipped in waists were paired with ladylike lengths. Dresses and skirts where given thigh high splits for added sex appeal and a massive dose of decadence.
